Financial Assistance at Saint Bonaventure High School

At Saint Bonaventure High School, we are dedicated to making Catholic education accessible to all families. To support this mission, we offer various financial assistance programs. We encourage families to apply for multiple options to maximize support.

1. FACTS Grant & Aid Financial Needs Assessment

Applying for financial assistance: 

We are pleased to offer FACTS Grant & Aid Financial Needs Assessment. 

If you already have a FACTS user account, please enter your username and password and click Sign In. If you are a new FACTS user, please select Create a username & password to begin. 

Financial Assistance Application Directions:

1. Open your FACTS Account.

2. The Financial Assistance application is accessed by clicking on the “Grant & Aids” tab which is available on your home page. Complete the application online first.

3. Be sure and upload the requested 2024 1040 tax and 2024 W2 documents. 

4. Once you complete the application, it will be sent automatically to the school for processing.

The Financial Aid application window opens on November 1, 2024.  Approval letters will be sent out beginning the end of March.  If you have any questions you may call FACTS @ 866-441-4637 or Stephen Frantela, Tuition Manager @ 805-648-6836 x104.

NOTE: Incoming students must first apply for Admissions before they can apply for financial assistance.

2. Catholic Education Foundation (CEF)

The Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) aims to provide tuition assistance to families who meet specific income criteria. Managed by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, eligible students should follow the provided instructions to complete their application and schedule an appointment on November 14.

3. Scholarships

Saint Bonaventure High School offers a variety of scholarships for incoming 9th graders:

• Academic Merit Scholarship - $2,000
  • To qualify, students must take the High School Placement Test at Saint Bonaventure and score in the 97th percentile or above.
• Legacy Scholarship - $1,000
  • Awarded to children of SBHS alumni upon successful completion of the admissions process and full registration for the upcoming school year, provided no financial aid is received.
• SBHS Academic Scholarship Program (Adopt-A-Seraph, Family & Memorial Scholarships)
  • Applications open February 1st and close March 1st. These are renewable scholarships for the incoming 9th-grade class for the 2025-2026 school year
