ANDY GIBSON, Varsity Head Coach

Coach Gibson is in his 3rd year at head Softball Coach at St. Bonaventure High School. Andy started coaching softball 10 years ago with then first year head coach Bill Therrien. Together they won five consecutive league titles and were back to back CIF-SS Champions in 2014 and 2015.  The Lady Seraphs under Coach Gibson's guidance captured the 2021 CIF-SS Championship for the 3rd time in school history.  They qualified for the CIF-State Southern Regional Championships for the first time in school history and reached the finals to finish as runners-up.  Coach Gibby started coaching at St. Bonaventure in the 1999/2000 school year as a Varsity Football Assistant coach. Gibson went on to also coach Baseball and Basketball during his years at the school. He has assisted on teams that have reached the CIF-SS Championship game in all 4 sports that he has coached at SBHS. Coach Gibson has a long standing relationship with the Seraphs having coached or worked for the school for over 20 years. Gibby now works on the SBHS campus as a Campus Supervisor a job he has had for the last few years. His hope is to keep the Seraph Spirit alive by building a solid lower level program and keep the excitement for all sports. Coach Gibson is hoping with hard work and dedication the Seraph Family can continue to achieve success!
